白色流动性粉末。密度3.28g/cm3。溶于水。微溶于醇。在空气中极易潮解。不溶于丙酮。由氧化锌或氢氧化锌和硫酸反应制得。用作其他锌盐的生产原料；用于电缆镀锌和电解制取纯锌，果树苗圃病害喷洒剂，人造纤维、木材和皮革保存剂。

用途
一水硫酸锌已被广泛应用于饲料添加剂、化工、国防、肥料、选矿、制药、橡胶、电子、 印染剂、骨胶澄清剂及保护剂、电镀、防止果树病虫害及循环冷却水处理、粘胶纤维和尼龙纤维等领域。是制造锌盐和锌钡白的原料。在电解工业中用于电缆镀锌及电解纯锌。还用于防治果树苗圃病害、木材及皮革保存剂及人造纤维工业。食品级用作营养增补剂accessory substance（锌强化剂）。
