异柠檬酸脱氢酶(IDH)催化异柠檬酸氧化脱羧生成2-羟戊二酸。异柠檬酸和苹果酸异丙酯脱氢酶家族有三个成员,IDH1, IDH2和IDH3。IDH2在中间代谢和能量产生中发挥作用。IDH2缺陷是d -2-羟戊二酸尿2型(D2HGA2)的原因。该蛋白的体细胞镶嵌突变也被发现与Ollier病和Maffucci综合征相关,R172K IDH2突变确实存在于弥漫性浸润性胶质瘤中。
