Testosterone undecanoate is an ester of testosterone; used in androgen replacement therapy primarily for the treatment of male hypogonadism, and is currently under research for use as a male contraceptive.

体外研究
(In Vitro)

Cell Viability Assay[1]

Cell Line:The MCF-7 [ER+, progesterone receptor (PR)+ and AR+] breast cancer cells
Concentration:20 and 200 μg/mL
Incubation Time:0, 24, 48 and 72 hours
Result:Following 48 h of treatment, the Testosterone undecanoate and all drug combination groups had significantly fewer viable cells than those of the Anastrozole-treated group.
Following treating for 72 h, the cellular proliferation inhibition rates in all groups were higher than at 0-24 h and the results revealed that the drug combination groups eradicated more cancer cells than the Anastrozole-treated group.

Western Blot Analysis[1]

Cell Line:MCF-7 cells
Concentration:0.1 μg/mL Anastrozole + 20 or 200 μg/mL Testosterone undecanoate and 0.01 μg/mL Anastrozole + 20 or 200 μg/mL Testosterone undecanoate
Incubation Time:24 and 48 hours
Result:The AR protein expression levels were significantly reduced in the 0.1 μg/mL + 20 μg/mL combined treatment group, compared with those of the 20 μg/mL Testosterone undecanoate-treated group.
The AR expression levels in the 0.1 μg/mL + 200 μg/mL experimental group were significantly lower than those is the 200 μg/mL Testosterone undecanoate-treated group.

    请依序添加每种溶剂: 10% DMSO    40%PEG300   5%Tween-80   45% saline

    Solubility: ≥ 0.67 mg/mL (1.47 mM); Clear solution

    此方案可获得 ≥ 0.67 mg/mL (1.47 mM,饱和度未知) 的澄清溶液。

    以 1 mL 工作液为例,取 100 μL 6.7 mg/mL 的澄清 DMSO 储备液加到 400 μL PEG300 中,混合均匀;向上述体系中加入50 μL Tween-80,混合均匀;然后继续加入 450 μL生理盐水定容至 1 mL。

    将 0.9 g 氯化钠,完全溶解于 100 mL ddH2O 中,得到澄清透明的生理盐水溶液

    请依序添加每种溶剂: 10% DMSO    90%corn oil

    以 1 mL 工作液为例,取 100 μL 6.7 mg/mL 的澄清 DMSO 储备液加到 900 μL玉米油中,混合均匀。
