SR2640 (hydrochloride) is a potent and selective competitiveleukotriene D4/leukotriene E4antagonist. SR2640 can be used for researching the role of leukotrienes in human asthma^[1].

LTD4 and LTE4^[1]

SR2640 inhibits the LTD 4-induced contractions of guinea-pig ileum in a concentration-dependent manner, with an IC₅₀of 3 nM^[1].
SR2640 (1 mg/kg; IV; single dosage) specifically prevents the contractile responses of guinea-pig ileum and trachea to LTD4 and LTE4^[1].
