Specnuezhenide ((8E)-Nuezhenide) can inhibit IL-1β-induced inflammation in chondrocytes via inhibition ofNF-κBandwnt/β-cateninsignaling. Specnuezhenide ((8E)-Nuezhenide) exerts anti-inflammatory effects in a rat model of osteoarthritis (OA)^[1].

Specnuezhenide (0.2-5.0 μg/mL) significantly decreases the mRNA expression of VEGFA induced by CoCl2 as a dose-dependent manner in ARPE-19 cells^[2].
