Agrimonolide and desmethylagrimonolide can effectively increase insulin-mediated glycogen level in heptocytes, they may play an important role in regulating glucose metabolism in insulin-resistance HepG2 cells and could be developed as a promising natural material for diabetes prevention and treatment.
