R(-)-N-Allylnorapomorphine is a potent inhibitor of the single-strand DNA cytosine deaminase APOBEC3G , with an IC 50 of 2.9 μM. R(-)-N-Allylnorapomorphine also is a dopamine receptor antagonist. R(-)-N-Allylnorapomorphine can reduce renal hypoxia-reoxygenation injury.

R(-)-N-Allylnorapomorphine shows selectivity for APOBEC3G over APOBEC3A (IC 50 >200 μM) and uracil DNA glycosylase (UDG)[1].
