Pentetic acid or diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) is an aminopolycarboxylic acid cosisting of diethyenetriamine backbone with five carboxymethyl groups. The molecule can be viewed as an expanded version of EDTA and is used similarly. It is a white water-soluble solid.
