Almotriptan is a triptan drug for treatment of migraine headaches. Almotriptan is a Serotonin-1b and Serotonin-1d Receptor Agonist. Binding of the drug to the receptor leads to vasoconstriction of the cranial blood vessels and thus affects the redistribution of cranial blood flow.
