It possesses preferential binding kinetics with seven-fold longer half-life on HDAC2 compared to HDAC1 (143 min versus 20 min). BRD4884 crosses the blood brain barrier and has been evaluated in CK-p25 mice, a mouse model of neurodegeneration.
