Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic analogue of chlorophyll commercially used as a food additive and color agent. It is known to induce apoptosis and autophagy under UV light in bladder cancer cells and suppresses benz[a]pyrene- and DBP induced carcinogenesis.
