Background:

Isolariciresinol is a lignan that has been found inCornus officinalisand has diverse biological activities.^1,2It scavenges ABTS radicals in a cell-free assay (IC₅₀= 19.4 µM) and inhibits LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages (IC₅₀= 84.45 µM).¹Isolariciresinol (20 µM) inhibits amyloid-β (1-42) self-aggregation in a cell-free assay.²
