背景信息：

α 酮戊二酸脱氢酶复合体是三羧酸循环中的一种限速酶 (1)。二氢硫辛酰胺－琥珀酰转移酶 (DLST) 是该复合体中的一个关键亚基 (2)。DLST 表达降低会增加活性氧的产量，进而表明该基因在氧化应激中发挥作用 (2)。研究表明，小鼠中 DLST 缺乏与线粒体中氧化应激增加有关，这个过程可能涉及到阿尔茨海默病发病机理 (2)。
