This gene encodes a protein similar to calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase, however, its exact function is not known.Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase belonging to a proposed calcium-triggered signaling cascade. In vitro phosphorylates transcription factor CREB1.
