Dotinurad (FYU-981; FYU981; Urece) is a novel, potent and selective urate reabsorption inhibitor (SURI) approved in Japan for treatment of hyperuricemia and gout. It has potent inhibitory effects at low doses on the uptake of urate by urate transporter 1 (URAT1) with an IC50 of 3.6 μM for uric acid.
