Pyridoxal isonicotinoyl hydrazine是一种细胞通透性的和相对无毒的铁(Fe3 +)螯合剂[1]。
Pyridoxal isonicotinoyl hydrazone (PIH)是一种三齿铁螯合剂,具有高的Fe螯合效力。在59Fe标记的网织红细胞中,PIH (0.1 mmol/L)释放38.6%的胞内59Fe[1]。PIH以剂量依赖的方式抑制抗坏血酸自由基的形成和Fe(III)–EDTA介导的抗坏血酸氧化[3]。
在载Fe大鼠中,PIH口服给药导致粪便铁排泄8倍的增加,可能还会有些尿排泄的铁[1]。在载有铁-乙酰氧肟酸复合物的小鼠中,pyridoxal isonicotinoyl hydrazone口服给药4天,每天300 mg/kg,4天中总的铁排出是31微克/小鼠[2]。Pyridoxal isonicotinoyl hydrazine可用于铁过载疾病中实验性的螯合治疗[3]。
