Zinc protoporphyrin IX(ZnPP) is a competitive heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) inhibitor, markedly attenuates the protective effects of Phloroglucinol (PG) against H2O2[1].
ZnPP treatment weakened the ROS scavenging activity by PG in H2O2-treated cells.Furthermore, the beneficial effect of PG on H2O2-induced DNA damage is significantly reduced by ZnPP[1].
