生物活性

Etanercept, a dimeric fusion protein that binds TNF, acts as aTNFinhibitor. Etanercept competitively inhibits the binding of both TNF-α andTNF-βto cell surface TNF receptors, rendering TNF biologically inactive. Etanercept shows efficacy against rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and plaque psoriasis^[1]^[2]^[3].

(In Vivo)

Etanercept (10 mg/kg; s.c.; every 3 days for 3 weeks) significantly decreases the mean arthritis scores and radiological score^[4].

Animal Model:	Six-week-old male Lewis rats (adjuvant-induced arthritis (AIA) model)^[4]
Dosage:	10 mg/kg
Administration:	S.c.; every 3 days for 3 weeks
Result:	Significantly decreased the mean arthritis scores; Significant decreased in radiological score at the end of the treatment period.
