Validamycin A 是一种杀菌剂，属于农用抗生素，最初从Streptomyces hygroscopicusvar.limoneus中分离得到。Validamycin A 能抑制黄曲霉的生长, 其MIC值为 1 μg/mL。Validamycin A 对立枯丝核菌的海藻酸酶 (trehalase) 有高效的抑制活性，其IC₅₀为 72 μM。Validamycin A 是一种可逆的酪氨酸酶抑制剂，其K_i值为 5.893 mM。

Validamycin A, a fungicidal, is an agriculturalantibiotic. Validamycin A is originally isolated fromStreptomyces hygroscopicusvar.limoneus. Validamycin A inhibits the growth ofA. flavus, with aMICof 1 μg/mL^[1]. Validamycin A shows potent inhibitory activity againsttrehalaseofRhizoctonia solani, with anIC₅₀of 72 μM^[2]. Validamycin A is a reversibletyrosinaseinhibitor, with aK_iof 5.893 mM^[3].

(In Vitro)

Validamycin A (0.5-1 μg/mL; 18 hours) inhibits the growth ofA. flavusand delayed conidial germination^[1].
Validamycin A shows no cytotoxicity to human bronchial epithelial cells^[1].
Validamycin A directly binds to several residues in the active site of tyrosinase, including HIS85, HIS244, GLU256, HIS259 and ASN260^[1].
