Milbemectin is an insecticide used primarily to control mites.1Milbemectin is a mixture of milbemycin A3and milbemycin A4that has acaricidal and nematocidal activity against adult spider mites, spider mite eggs, andC. eleganswith IC50values of 5.3, 41.1, and 9.5 µg/ml, respectively.2It acts as an allosteric agonist of theDrosophilaRDL GABA receptor.3It is also effective against the pinewood nematode,B. xylophiluswith an LC20of 0.0781 mg/liter.4
