Description | 9L/lacZ细胞株1989年从9L细胞株(大鼠硝基脲诱导的胶质瘤细胞株)发展而来。
用携带E. coli编码beta-半乳糖苷酶lacZ基因和带来G418抗性的Tn5新霉素基因BAG复制缺陷的逆转录病毒载体感染9L细胞株。
细胞在G418存在下培养14天，克隆，并检测beta-半乳糖苷酶生成。
9L/lacZ产生高水平的酶，选择其进行后续研究。
细胞持续表达lacZ报告基因产物，从E. coli衍生来的beta-半乳糖苷酶，从而可以通过组织切片的组织化学染色来鉴定单个肿瘤细胞。
同一片子上的淋巴细胞和其它响应细胞也可以通过双标记抗体进行鉴定。
染色细胞和背景的对比有益于图像分析。
这是少数允许量化分析的大脑微观肿瘤模型中的一种。
这种肿瘤模仿了人类大脑肿瘤的生长和传播的重要特性。
beta-半乳糖苷酶的表达十分稳定，但细胞培养数月后应该重新进行克隆。 | 动物种别
